Please read the following information carefully before entering the ice rink. By signing and submitting this waiver, you confirm that you understand and agree to follow the safety rules and instructions provided by our ice rink staff and marshals.
Ice skating is an activity that carries an inherent risk of injury. By entering the ice rink, you acknowledge these risks and agree to skate responsibly and follow all safety instructions.
🚫 DO NOT
For your safety and the safety of other skaters, you must not:
Sit on, climb over or lean excessively against the safety barrier.
Chip, kick, throw or deliberately damage the ice rink.
Skate at excessive or dangerous speeds.
Smoke, vape, eat or drink on the ice.
Drop litter or other objects onto the ice.
Carry babies or young children while skating.
Skate in groups or chains of more than two people.
Wear scarves, loose clothing or long coats that may create a hazard.
Carry handbags, backpacks or other bags onto the ice rink.
Cut across the middle of the rink or skate against the designated direction.
Play tag or engage in games that could endanger other skaters.
Consume alcohol before skating.
Wear peaked caps, hoods or other headwear that may restrict visibility.
Congregate around the entrance or exit of the rink.
Use mobile phones, cameras or other handheld devices while skating.
✅ DO
All skaters must:
Ensure their skates are correctly fitted, fastened and securely tightened.
Wear gloves or suitable hand protection. (recommended but not compulsory)
Skate in an anti-clockwise direction only, unless instructed otherwise by rink staff.
Maintain a safe speed and distance from other skaters.
Follow all instructions given by ice rink management, marshals and event staff.
Report any accident, injury, hazard or concern to a member of staff immediately.
👨👩👧 CHILDREN'S POLICY
For the purposes of the ice rink, a child is anyone under 14 years of age.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who must remain responsible for them throughout their visit.
If a child is unable to provide suitable proof of age when requested, the final decision regarding the appropriate ticket or admission will be made by ice rink management.
Management reserves the right to:
Refuse admission where necessary for safety or operational reasons.
Make the final decision regarding admission to the ice rink.
Refuse admission to children under 3 years of age.
Require children aged 3–13 to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Remove anyone from the ice rink who fails to follow the safety rules or staff instructions.
Refuse admission or remove a person where their behaviour presents a risk to themselves, staff or other visitors.
No refund will be given in accordance with the event's ticket terms and conditions if you breach any of the forbidden rules related to this activity. Refunds will also not be given for loss of time on the rink due to lateness.
Personal belongings are brought onto the site at the owner's own risk.
⚠️ ASSUMPTION OF INHERENT RISK
Ice skating involves inherent risks, even when reasonable safety precautions are followed.
By entering the ice rink, you acknowledge that these risks may include, but are not limited to:
Falls while skating.
Collisions or contact with other skaters.
Injury caused by another skater.
Injury resulting from loss of balance or control.
Contact with rink barriers or other structures.
Injuries resulting from uneven, wet or slippery surfaces.
Accidental contact with ice rink equipment or other objects.
Other risks naturally associated with ice skating including death.
You agree to take reasonable care of yourself and others while using the ice rink.
🚨 MEDICAL & HIGH-RISK CONDITIONS
Ice skating may not be suitable for everyone.
You should not participate if you have a medical condition or physical limitation that could make skating unsafe for you.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Pregnancy.
Heart conditions.
Conditions causing light sensitivity where the rink environment may present a risk.
Brittle bones or conditions affecting bone strength.
Severe back, spinal or bone injuries.
Any other medical condition where your doctor or healthcare professional has advised against physical activity or ice skating.
If you are unsure whether ice skating is suitable for you, please seek appropriate medical advice before participating.
🛡️ LIABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY
All persons using the ice rink do so subject to these safety rules and acknowledge the inherent risks associated with ice skating.
Barretts Business Group Ltd, trading as Make It Personal Events, accepts responsibility for injury or death where it is caused by our negligence, breach of statutory duty or other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing within this waiver is intended to exclude or restrict any legal rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under UK law.
Participants remain responsible for taking reasonable care of themselves and following all safety instructions provided by ice rink management, marshals and event staff.
Parents, guardians and accompanying adults remain responsible for supervising children in their care.
👮 STAFF & ICE MARSHALS
Our ice marshals and event staff are here to help keep everyone safe.
You must follow any reasonable instruction given by ice rink management, ice marshals or event staff.
Failure to follow instructions or these safety rules may result in you being asked to leave the ice rink. Where this occurs due to a breach of the rules, a refund will not be provided.

In accordance with our GDPR policy, all information and this waiver will be permanently deleted from our systems post the event date.
